BumbleKast in 2025
The new year is approaching, and with it comes changes to the BumbleKast! Thanks to all the support and attention from our patrons, Ko-Fi supporters, and YouTube members, we find ourselves needing to evolve the format a bit. Here’s what you can expect in the coming months!
December BumbleKast Mini Submissions On Hold Please!
With the holidays rolling in and so much else going on, something’s got to give. Thus we’re asking for everyone to hold off their BumbleKast Mini submission in December. Thanks for the breather!
BumbleKast Live!
Join us November 30th and December 28th for the last two live Q&A sessions! We’ve had a ton of fun spending time with you, and your generosity has been amazing, but we won’t be able to do the live Q&A sessions in the future. You can still look forward to the occasional BumbleKast Gaming Live session though!
The Hedgehog In The Room
Starting in 2025, all questions related to the Sonic the Hedgehog series will need to be vetted by SEGA. This may mean your question will need to be revised or it may be unanswerable. If submitting a BumbleKast Mini, we’ll answer as many as we can, but we may have to ask for a revised submission. Refunds will be available upon request. To save your time, money (and patience!) please use your best judgment when sending those in.
So Many Minis
Related to that, most of the unpublished BumbleKast Minis for 2024 will unfortunately remain in the vault. The original sponsors have their copies, but we’ll have to shelve the rest. Please bear with us as we rebuild our content with your support!
Changes to YouTube Membership
Due to YouTube’s very limited options, we’ll no longer be taking questions via YouTube super donations or offering membership tiers with priority question benefits. It’s not fair to those members, and we have no way of directly communicating with or refunding you. If you would still like to support the show, memberships will be available up to $4.00 USD. If you’d like to ask questions, please submit them via Patreon or Ko-Fi.
It’s been a wild journey with you all as we approach the ten year mark for BumbleKast. With your continued support, we’ll hit that benchmark and keep on rolling!
Be good to yourselves, be good to each other, and happy holidays!
EDIT: Things have since changed. Check out the latest news for…well…the latest news!
Hokis, Focus! Announced
I am supremely excited to announce I’m collaborating with Ryan Jampole to produce an original fantasy manga: Hokis, Focus!
The graphic novel will be published under Mad Cave Studios’s recently announce Nakama Press imprint.
There is no public release date yet, but I’ll be updating y’all when there is. We’re hard at work crafting Hokis’s adventures for you!
Live Q&A Session “in” Greensboro, NC
I’ve been invited by Acme Comics and Lost Ark Games to call-in for a live Q&A session on Saturday, June 29th at 6:30PM EST.
This is in conjunction with the Tanger Center in Greensboro, NC, which is hosting the Sonic Symphony after the Q&A session. Check out their website for more details.
As such, BumbleKast Live! will be starting later than usual. Join us for even more live Q&A at 7:30PM EST.
Charity Results, Store Update & Project Previews!
First off, thank you to everyone who contributed to the Sonic Superstars Charity Auction supporting Sick Kids Foundation. Thanks to your generosity, we raised a whopping $1,605.00 to help kids in need. A good note to start the holiday season on!
I didn’t want to steal thunder from the charity, so now the BumbleKomics Shop has updated with Sonic the Hedgehog #65 and the Amy Rose 30th Anniversary Special.
Limited quantities of the “A” and “B” covers are available for each, so act fast!
The BumbleKast tab now has a proper shout-out to all the wonderful folks who help keep the show running. Head on over and check out who all is on the BumbleKrew.
Supporters of my personal Patreon can catch a sneak peak of the first page of Klaws McGee #2, due early 2024!
Finally, supporters of the Drogune patreon can get a preview of the first page! Drogune: Ether Ore is roughly scheduled for 2024.
