#KnowingSmile revealed! I got the opportunity to contribute (in a small way) to the two-part animation supporting the remaster of Sonic Colors. As such, the Portfolio tab has been updated to be more accurate. (And because the “Television” tab was really anemic looking.)
You can watch Part One on YouTube, with Part Two coming out later this year.
Fifteen years ago today I debuted as the new lead writer for the Sonic the Hedgehog comic book series. It was a book I grew up reading as a kid, and I’ve since met numerous kids (and young adults) who can say the same of my run. It’s humbling, to be quite frank.
I may not be the main guy behind the wheel anymore, but I’m still involved after five editors, two publishers (and five continuities, give or take). Plus dozens of line artists, colorists and letterers who have brought my stories to life. I’ve been exceedingly fortunate to have so many solid creative teams at my back and I’m thankful for every single one of them.
It’s been a career-defining ride, and as the saying goes, “The Ride Never Ends.” I’m certainly not done with the little blue hedgehog. Not by a long shot. I’ll be talking more about that later one, but for now…#KnowingSmile.
To celebrate, use the coupon code “15years” and receive 15% off your entire order at the BumbleKomics Shop. It doesn’t even need to be Sonic books! Offer expires March 29th.
I’m very pleased to finally announce I’m working on the Sonic the Hedgehog 30th Anniversary one-shot. My story, “Seasons of Chaos,” will be part of a collection celebrating the Classic Era of the Blue Blur. An even beefier “Deluxe Edition” is due out later in the year. Gizmodo has a preview write-up here.
Current release dates are set at June and October. Check out the BumbleKalendar to see when I get exact dates.
I’ve finally gotten some hard dates to update the release calendar with. You can check it out here. Please keep in mind that these dates are subject to change, and I’ll update on my end as soon as I know of any shifts in releases.
I also took the time to update my Personal Projects (under Portfolio) and the site header to give a bit more love to Klaws McGee. It’s on the back-burner right now, but still something I want to cultivate.
