This is getting ridiculous.
I wish they could provide a reason!

Those are third party sellers. They can set the prices however they want. Given that there's no evidence Knuckles Archives 5 was ever released, and the seller is a company which has made a ton of sales, this feels a lot like a worker going through lists of books they expected to already have in by this point (since Amazon UK still claims it came out in 2014 because they never bothered updating the release date), seeing it was supposedly "out of print", and jacking up the price thinking they had something super-rare.

Short version: Third party seller probably doesn't even have the book, so the price doesn't really matter.

So, both the issues of "Sonic the Hedgehog" and "Sonic Universe" are delayed again. They were both being scheduled to be released this month. Are they coming out on the 30th?

Are people still happy with the Archives format? Because the size of those books really turn me off buying them. I'm aware they're meant to attract the younger audiences but I'd much prefer a "standard" tpb size like Saga and the Universe collections. Maybe it's the obsessor in me but I really don't like how those Archives books can only sit next to my manga collection to look in any way relevant. But then I'm really unhappy with Archie's whole approach to its graphic novel market so I don't think that'll be changed any time soon.

I have to agree, I never liked their approach to Graphic Novels. The ones that make the most sense are unappealing to me due to their miniature size (I swear I have to squint a lot to read those, let alone see the detail in some of the great art.) and the ones that do look good are sporadic and confusing to follow, popping up and having random stories from throughout the run of the comic.

I feel like IDW's My Little Pony comics got it right (for the most part anyway) by providing comic-size print graphic novel versions of the individual story arcs in order of release. I recall Sonic Universe's graphic novel series doing this well too, and I would totally buy those (in fact, I think I have, I'll have to check my collection :P).

As it stands though, if I ever want to collect the old issues of Sonic again, I think I'd just prefer back issues.

In essence the Sonic line only really needs 4 lines of graphic novels:

- The Archives line - whether in its current format or an updated model
- The Saga line to collect the Iain stories up to Worlds Collide
- The Universe books
- The current stories after WC

My ideal collection would be akin to the new TMNT comics' IDW Collection which collects everything in publication order as well as the tie-ins in a nice hardcover format. So starting with the mini-series and going throughout the main series while putting in the specials, mini-series, etc. when they were published. But that's me just fantasising at this point.

Really I'd just like the tpbs to look uniform more than anything. I'm super pumped for the WC Complete Epic now since I love books that contain more than the standard 6 or 7 floppies - I usually refuse to buy them, but I'd also like everything leading up to the crossover collected too. I'm a digital buyer since shelf-space is hard enough to make for my graphic novels, but just having these stories physically in a nice format would be super.

I'm a picky person, what can I say? :P

I personally like the Archives more than the others, but I mostly buy manga so they're aiming for that format appeals to me. What I especially like about Archives and Selects compared to the other lines is the new cover art, which is pretty much a must if you want me to purchase reprints. They give the product it's own visible identity, allowing me to separate it from the regular release of the comic.
