Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Robotnik is an equal opprotunity tyrant!

Isn't Eggman supposedly a feminist though? ;P If the official game booklets are to be believed XP

Yep. I would love to see Eggman debate the oppression of the Patriarchy honestly. :(hearty laughter):

Oh. My. Deity.

When I first read that I burst out laughing.

Eggman the womanizer actually makes much more sense regarding his usual personality in AoStH and Sonic X.

I prefer the English "feminist" translation because it gives some depth to his character.

it's demonstratably untrue though, so it's pretty fake depth (especially considering nothing's ever been done with it)

It's Sigma depth, which is to say not much depth at all.

Not that womanizer is much better. Either is fine as a trait, it's just...not like either is ever really prominent?

From what I remember the manual calls him a self-proclaimed feminist/womanizer anyway. It was just a bit about how Eggman has a really big ego and thinks of himself as a great guy even though he's a jerk.

Ahem. Okay, maybe not a womanizer in real life but he definitely thinks of himself as one. Case in point:

Exhibit A: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6qJag0nnPM

Exhibit B: https://youtu.be/0RxEAfSa170?t=240

Also, not sure about this one but I think it's hinted in the OVA and Sonic X.

Well, there is the whole "killing off everyone on Planet Freedom and forcing a VERY underdressed Sera to marry him" thing.

Suddenly, I'm reminded that Robotnik hit on Sally in disguise that one time.

Now I am uncomfortable.

Not to mention that she was clearly younger than him.

Whether Eggman as a feminist is a mistranslation or not, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for his character at all, unless it's along the lines of: "Yes, I believe in the equality of males and females... they are both equally good slaves!"
