History Repeating: Red

Postby DBlack » Wed May 14, 2014 7:23 pm

Has anyone else picked up the new release from the Megas? It came out last night. And given that Ian's written dialogue inspired by some of their other songs in past comics, I figured people might have some interest. Particularly hearing their take on Blues/Proto Man, given some of the latest issues.

Also, Gemini Man's song is awesome. Not quite as great as "Don't Mess With Magnet Man", but a close second. :D

Be that as it may, it's still a cool album, and given the subject matter, I figured people would be interested.

What in the name of heaven are Megas? I thought it was Megas XLR or something.

They're a band who play rock covers of Mega Man game music, but they've added lyrics to tell a pretty compelling story. "History Repeating" is their 2 CD take on Mega Man 3.

8bitX Radio plays their stuff here and there, if you happen to listen to that.

Can probably find their stuff on YouTube and elsewhere, though.

Oh thank goodness it's finally out. I've been waiting since last year for this to come out so is this album worth it?

Definitely. And Needle Man's song ("The Haystack Principle") is growing on me more and more.

I think it might have to do with copyright policies and not wanting to use other people's idea to avoid issues much like how he cannot use our ideas?

Spoiler: show
Which means no Magnet Man/Roll... I was really looking forward to Pimp!Magnet Man.

Did they say something? What is the reasoning for this and source?

Listened to the album the other day. Enjoyed it! I'm Not the Break Man was probably my favorite. The feels in that song, man...
