I'm hearing folks are getting it - at least the digital version.

Have at it, folks.

Omg! I busted out laughing at the Short Circuit! That's absolutely hilarious how you addressed the fears people had on Mega Man not even getting to his third story arc. x'D

Also, I formally request that Dan Shoening pencil an issue.

I do like how Roll and Light are actually accompanying Rock for a change as well as Astil and Cossack, though that's probably because they think there'll be nothing too dangerous coming their way.....oh yeah, Shadow Man, hi there.

And sweet to see Break Man showing some relief hearing that Roll's okay before cutting himself off to focus on the mission.

Another good issue. I loved Tyson Hesse's art, and the story was quite good. What does Blues want with Tempo, anyway?

The X backup was good, too. Spaz's art is always a joy to look at! Keep up the good work there.

Maybe they're there to support him?

Speaking of Break Man, I'd need to look back, but... is his visor more round here than it was previously? Much as I'm a stickler for on-model design, I kind of like it. Very Super Sentai-ish.

Haven't seen the new Short Circut yet but going off last issue and his amazing Ghostbusters work I 100% agree with this.

They've skipped the Zaku monoeye anyway from the start so let them have fun with the helmet :P

Now we need to give Blues random funky poses.

Also I love those Robot Masters and how they're quirky but still advancing the plot in a way. And recruiting Shadow Man.

Ian ever say why they didn't go with monoeye?

I remember seeing it in his first appearance.

I remember that a while ago some people on this forum were afraid that the Mega Man comic was not selling well. But fortunatelly this issue says otherwise.

I have just finished reading the issue and I noticed at the final pages a statement of ownership. According to it, in the last 12 months until November 15, 2015 the average number of copies per issue of the comic was 25484. It also says that the most recent issue until that date had 24991 copies. This is more than "good enough".

About what means to "sell good enough", what I remember is that a while ago, in the IDW forums, Bobby Curnow (editor of the My Little Pony comic and other titles) answered a question about how many copies a comic should sell to be considered that it is selling well. He replied that usually something above 10k copies is considered good, while something around 8k copies already place the comic in the danger zone.

I do not know how far this applies t Archie, but it is the best information I could remember. Regardless, 25k copies per month is well above 10k :)

People once asked Ian why there was no Mega Man X comic. Ian replied that the comic needed more sales to support that. That snowballed as "oh my god the comic isn't selling at all and is nearly cancelled".

Well, I think it depends on either Archie or the main company (Capcom) on what factors 'selling well?' I know Capcom tends to have some pretty high expectations of their games, but I'm not so sure about third party stuff.

Mega Man is currently selling well - which is great! Big high-five to the fans who've stuck with us from the beginning and helped spread the word to drive up interest.

Now the key is to sell well consistently. A sudden spike in readership is nice, but doesn't mean anything in the long term. So if folks stick with the book and the numbers stay like that, I'd be very optimistic about a future MMX book.

DISCLAIMER: That isn't me spilling the beans - that's my understanding and wishful thinking. I don't get to make that call... and y'all know me. I'd never be that loose-lipped about spoiling such good news ;)

Actually, the "mono-eye" appeared in Break Man's first appearance, but it wasn't very pronounced and never appeared again.

Regarding sales... There's a website that outlines number of issues sold. Note, however, that these numbers only represent "orders retailers placed solely with Diamond Comic Distributors," so it's only a slice of the total sales data (i.e., subscription sales directly from Archie and any retailer that isn't supplied by Diamond are not included in this data).

Since Worlds Collide wrapped up, here's where Mega Man falls...

Spoiler: show
#28 - 8,404
#29 - 8,042
#30 - 8,086
#31 - 7,854
#32 - 7,352
#33 - 7,015

To compare, here's where Sonic the Hedgehog falls...

Spoiler: show
#252 - 10,968
#253 - 10,982
#254 - 10,585
#255 - 10,422
#256 - 9,840

... and, here's where Sonic Universe falls.

Spoiler: show
#55 - 9,239
#56 - 9,253
#57 - 8,874
#58 - 8,433
#59 - 8,123

Fun-fact: the earliest issue of Sonic since the data analysis started was issue #48 on April 1997. It brought in 6,834. That same month, Sonic vs. Knuckles Battle Royal Special brought in 6,396.
