It would make less sense to give him rounded shoulders with a saber, and having him in his first armor blasting with a buster has less impact as a cover. It's kind of obvious that it was intentional and probably has no bearing on the interior art.

Indeed, though...

...it's not unheard of, either. ;)

In my defense... I said "full-time." He's sporting both in that shot. :)

In my defense... I was responding to your fourth sentence, not the third. ;)

I have to question the canonicity of that screenshot. Zero obtained his second armor and Z-Saber simultaneously in X2 as a result of the X-Hunters upgrading him. So, aside from that cutscene, he's never been seen wielding his X1 armor and a saber at the same time. I hear what you're saying about it not being unheard of to be seen with both, but... it's also extremely obscure. =P

I don't know if "obscure" is really the right term here...

That said, we're talking about a cover, which is almost the comic book equivalent to an opening theme cutscene for a video game like that...

(Or box art, I guess, but I think it can pull double-duty.)

This came out today, right? Anyone gotten ahold of it yet? Sonic #258 seemed like it came out on time or even a little early, so I was hoping we'd see that trend finally coming back with Mega Man.

It's online at Comixology. And it's a great issue, with the scenes between Break Man and Quake Woman being a particular highlight.

Hah hah! Silly, inconsistent intro! Seconds earlier, it had Vile getting cut apart by Zero in his mkII body! Then later, when he's confronting the X-Hunters, he's in his mkI body.

I figured it was being played like X, who went through three different forms in about as many seconds. Ditto Sigma (well, two for him).

Has anyone actually gotten this physically yet? It's getting really hard to remember the days when subscribers could actually get this BEFORE it came out digitally, rather than still seeing no sign of it a week later.

I can see the new SU came out digitally today, should I just go ahead and mark my calendar for sometime in May for it to get here? >_>

I could understand the delays in the wintertime but this is ridiculous. I find it really unfair that I can't go anywhere without being spoiled of a issue that I should already have.
