Most people forget about that design maybe they just decided to skip it.

Surprised they didn't back when MHX came out for that matter.

Not I; Zero is Inafune's baby.

Heck, they even made a D-Arts figure based on that design (that I still want).

*squints* Ok, I know that cover is tiny and my monitor is large, but I honestly can't tell what's going on in that picture with Zero.

And yeah, I want the Zero D-arts figure too... (for modding purposes, but I still want it >_>; )

I find it weird he has version 2 square shoulders and version 1 spikeless wrist guards. :P

PS. Spaz, I wuff j00 for being back on the Megaman X bus....wherever you may be. *timely wind* T^T

Ah, yeah, I guess I can see it now. For some reason I thought he was opening a very glitchy doorway. o_0 ... Not to mention my muddled brain didn't see the larger link at the top last night. (man, I needed more sleep than I thought I did).

Maybe they're going the Mega Buster route and removing the storyline where Zero changes appearance?

This is what he should look like, in case anyone is wondering

I imagine for the same reason Roll had her MM8 look and Rush was there at all on the cover of MM#1.

As a sign for what's to come in the comic, right?

You know, I never noticed any differences from Zero's designs in the X series until I actually decided to pay attention to any details, thus clearing up my confusion without asking any questions.

Probably Ben's error. Besides, barely ever does a cover tell you what's in the book.

I highly doubt it's an "error." Zero is most iconic while swinging his saber. He didn't use a saber full-time until he got his second armor. It would make less sense to give him rounded shoulders with a saber, and having him in his first armor blasting with a buster has less impact as a cover. It's kind of obvious that it was intentional and probably has no bearing on the interior art.
