Mega Man #35 Preview

Postby Mega Man Monthly » Thu Dec 12, 2013 7:26 am

Destructoid has the covers for MEGA MAN #35 here. (Super-high-resolution versions available at their site.)
No sign of the solicits yet, but it should be popping up any day now on Midtown Comics. I'll keep an eye out.

Why can't it be something that it's nonetheless connected to Ra Moon?

The main cover could to be another case of misleading what the actual content will be unless

Spoiler: show
they're hinting Ra Moon isn't really dead. Which I kind of doubt since his last words to Sunstar at the end of #33 would have no meaning and bringing him back so soon after Blackout would be a tad premature.

The Zero variant is pretty cool. No denying that.

And I'm going to confirm it. His signature is on the bottom left part of the cover.

The standard cover is by Spaz, and the variant is by Ben Bates.

And, the standard cover could simply be symbolic. #34's solicit talked about investigating everything that happened with Ra Moon, so the arc could be about exploring its origins and dealing with the aftermath of its attack on Earth. Maybe Ra Moon's EM wave pulse is having some kind of catastrophic effects on Earth? Or, maybe Mega Man is finally realizing just how much damage was done to humanity by Ra Moon. The cover could merely represent Mega Man's rage at what Ra Moon has done to the planet and people he cares so deeply about. The story arc is called "Shadow of the Moon," after all... A shadow has been cast on the planet by Ra Moon.

Or... Ra Moon is alive. Whatevs.

Oh wow, his signature is there. I was looking for a signature. He hid it pretty well, I think.

Zero stuff looks great, sure, but I thought this stuff was pre-MMX? So why is he in his revived form from six months after the first game?
