8:45 PM EST tonight.

It hasn't even been twelve hours and already it's almost at the halfway point.

What if Comcept approached them? I mean one could argue that Sonic "competes" with Mega Man (if there actual Mega Man games for Sonic to compete with) in the "Action Platformer" department.

If Comcept wanted a comic book and went to archie, shouldn't they be able to do that?

Well I remember from the Goon kickstarter and the Distance kickstarter the first days are massively successful, but then everyone that's fanatical enough to throw money at the project has already done so and it languishes at 80% for a while, until the last day when everyone leaps at their keyboards in slow motion to up their pledge amounts. So don't count your chickens yet.

But for what it's worth I've never tossed money at a thing faster.

Stop grouching about it. Go play Mega Man if you want, I'm interested in this spiritual successor to Mega Man. Seriously. We already have people complaining about the series and thinking it's gonna replace Mega Man...

Also it's almost to 500,000 already, guys.

Considering Capcom''s current MEga Man strategy is "no" I don't see how this won't replace Mega Man

Sonic isn't the exact same basic concept with a thin redress over it.

Archie would have to consider alienating their existing license holder for a new one. I really don't think it's wise for them.

Pushing $550,000.

It will do my heart so much good to see this become the "new" Mega Man and become a smashing success that can be rubbed in Capcom's face.

Good news! This is about as close as you can get and unlike a new Mega Man, is actually being made.

Personally I'm no longer worried about Comcept hitting their goal, I just want to see just how much they'll exceed it.

I wonder if they'll make more stretch goals if they make 2.5 million?

I see $10 million being a physical release of the game on all consoles, and those empty physical game boxes suddenly being filled with something.

Inafune talks about the legal concerns and some of the prodution of Mighty No. 9
http://www.usgamer.net/articles/keiji-i ... what-it-is

I am...concerned Capcom hasn't said anything yet. But he is right, it's like saying Toriyama can't do Dragonwarrior because it looks too much like DBZ. I'm more worried about the concepts, characters and story that they may have a problem with.

On the other hand, Inti Creates is helping develop the game? SOLD!
