I actually wonder if Archie could throw their support behind this game, like throw in $10,000 in addition to licensing the comic rights to the character. Would be sweet to see it happen.

Is that how much it is for licensing fee?

Oh hey would you look at all this money I have from not buying Capcom games for the past 2 years? Guess I know where all that's going. Shame this couldn't have been spent on a Mega Man title.

But I suppose Mega Man isn't popular enough. I mean, what franchise is popular that a spin-off spiritual successor makes 50,000 dollars an hour? Pft, nothing, I guess.

No fan support for a game no one cares about, right capcom?

Tomorrow I'll bump up my pledge. This project needs to succeed.

EDIT: and on another note this kickstarter is making $50,000 an hour. This will be fully funded in less than a day, and probably completely funded for all stretch goals within the week.

I wonder if there is any chance that Archie could produce the comic adaptation of this game.

Wow. Look at that, you're right. It made another 50,000 in the last hour to get over 150,000.

I don't think I've ever seen a Kickstarter of this scale move this quickly before.

I'm throwing my hat in immediately. I will draw the heck out of Mighty Number 9! And that adorable blonde girl in the previews!!!

SECONDED! If this happens, my next portfolio I'm sending to Archie will be focused on Mighty Number 9!!! =D

Totally gonna pledge to this project, it looks absolutely wonderful!

Guys, I think Archie being involved in any of this would seriously put them in a bad position with Capcom.

Bah. Disregard everything I said about Archie officially supporting it.

Would still be awesome if after this is said and done (and fully funded to the 2.5 million dollar mark*) if another comic company were to get a license for this new franchise. :)

*$330,000 as of this post. Dear lord, this will be fully funded in under 24 hours, with probably all stretch goals reached by Wednesday Morning.
