StH#281/SU#84/SCS Covers and Solicits

Including the long-expected return of one character, and the (in my opinion) totally unexpected return of another!

That's the ghost girl from "Night of the Werehog".

And just when I started a thread about the "Night of the Werehog" adaptation in Archie comics too. What a coincidence.

Oh hey, and Akhlut too.

Edit: Conquering Storm has had quite a bit of a redesign, even if it's basically the same base. The muzzle and fur colour is more Nicole-like and you can see the stripe that extends into hair, her cuffs have been simplified (and altered a bit), and the colour scheme has had the gold and brown cut from the clothing (save the hat).

Akhlut...well, the crest thing is kinda similar.

I noticed that too XD I never thought I'd see the day she shows up in the comic, though it's most certainly welcome. Those ghosts from Night of the Werehog were great ;3

Called Conquering Storm from the reboot, but I really wasn't expecting the Battle Kukku to be involved. hat said, wasn't he originally meant to be a Grandmaster pre-reboot?

I'm REALLY excited for Eggman's Dozen.

That Valentine's Day variant is glorious :(hearty laughter): Great news Dulcy's making a return, but I'm more interested in the new Eggman story. Connie's making a return, along with a newly designed Akluht (cool redesign by the way) and the Battle Lord. Awesome, this arc is going to be boss, Egg Boss actually :P

Looks like Bunnie's getting more stories, that's cool. Dulcy's redesign is alright, not amazing but I like it. I just love the main comic's covers, both of them are wonderful, and SU's covers are okay too. The stories themselves are a little vague so there's not much to say there. I'm wondering what they mean by Dulcy having a "fledgling team." Although I hated every area having Freedom Fighters, if it's Dulcy, I suppose it could be forgiven. I just hope the human characters show up at some point, I really liked Chun-Nan's cast.

I'm REALLY excited for Eggman's Dozen.

If I remembered their first appearance, the Battlebird Armada was an affiliate to the Eggman Empire in the old world, which likeky means they didn't work directly with Eggman.

And nobody's discussed moley guy over on the right there. He's definitely not been mentioned for any stories so far so he's a mystery. Maybe he's actually a Tasmanian Tiger and thus the Egg Boss for Sonic-Australia.

Nor Squidgirl, but she's more clearly the Egg Boss of the Southern seas given that Ian divided the ocean between North and South, and I think Akhlut was Northern.

Edit: Okay, quoting the list from the last solicit topic, but bold is additional stuff where necessary

Akhlut - Northern Oceans
Axel - Efrika
Clove - Northamera
Mordred - Eurish
Nephthys - Midesta
Thunderbolt - Soumerca
Tundra - Artika
[Bride of???] Conquering Storm - Yurashia
That guy off on the right maybe I dunno - Tralius
Squidgirl - Southern Oceans
??? - ???
??? - ???

Ones who may or may not be Egg Bosses at all - Kukku

everyone on su looks boring

yawn

dulcy looks nicer but that's probably down to the art

why is she no longer huge

yawn

if her body changed so much why not give her a more distinct muzzle

yawn

heh HAH heh he heh

oh look, Dulcy has a team? Yet another regional FF team!

*tapdances away*

EDIT:

*tapdances back*

Diana Skelly continues to be pretty much the only joyous reason to read these, visually. Please give her a lot more to do and more issues to draw and also get her designing every character together with Hesse and Stanley just form some sort of "character design team" to keep a consistent look on the comic from now on

da-du-dap ta dap doo-dap ta-da-dap
