Aaron Weber confirms Izuka's "Two Worlds"

Postby Mavrickindigo » Thu Jul 16, 2015 1:56 pm

around 30-35 minutes in, the people ask the PR representative about Izuka's comment about there being two different worlds, a "mobian" and a human world. According to him, it DOES work like Sonic X, and that the games have two seperate worlds in which they take place.

So is everything from Sonic Adventure to Sonic Unleashed just not canon?

Jeez. Sega is horrible at maintaining continuity.

So, what, are we just supposed to assume Sonic and co. can travel freely between the worlds?

It's not that hard, after classic era Sonic moved to human world. Adventure games can work in same way as in Sonic X. Just imagine that Dark Gaia and Mephiles lived on Earth, but due to Mobians influence Chip turned into a mobian like creature.

But to be honest this explanation wasn't really clear, so feel free to ignore it.

This is precisely why I like The comic verse. So what they got a teleported like the star posts where they can both go back and forth?

I don't understand what this means. Does Sonic just run through both worlds for fun? Which world does each game take place in? This just opened an unnecessary can of worms. The game series makes way more sense taking place on the same world in each game.

I can just imagine Sonic as an alien invader now, going to all these other worlds in a bid to have all the planets renamed after him.

Ha Ha. Nope. I'm ignoring this. This is absolutely ridiculous and I refuse to consider this nonsense canon.

Webber doesn't sound sure of this himself.

It doesn't really make sense as an idea. Sonic Adventure for example - is that the human world (Station Square etc) or the cartoon animal world (ancient echidna tribe)?

Uh...hrm. Nope, sounds like absolute nonsense, and I don't think "huge human-to-Mobian ratio" is sufficient evidence.

So, does this mean we are literally "This Side of Mobius"?

I'm ignoring this too. It doesn't even make sense?? Maybe Izuka didn't mean it as literally as Aaron took it?

I'm going to vehemently argue this validity just to spite everyone.

In this world (his world)...

And that world (also his world)...

Possibly another world (one more world)...

And another world over there (chalk up one more)...

Yeah, I'm just going to ignore this until it's actually proven true in a upcoming game.

Come here, grain of salt.
