I liked the art for the entirety of this arc - very expressive and entertaining, I also liked the designs of some of the audience members (the peacocks especially caught my eye) - so if you're still reading, Diana, I sincerely hope you get to pencil more Sonic pages (though Ryan Jampole was also credited for pencilling this issue too? Credit to him where it is due).

Something I didn't get though was the characters (Sally, Antoine, Rouge, Vector) popping out of TV screens(?) on the Knuckles/Sonic double page spread - to me this seemed like a really bizarre way to show that they were watching from behind a TV screen. Was there no other way to illustrate this? Also Antoine's mouth seems really odd/misplaced on this page.

Generally speaking though, good story, good art. Do more like this.

Okay so Honey is a business woman with good intentions * for the moment* while Breezie is neutral. The fight between Sonic and Knuckles was cool, but some of their viewers were dramatic. Tails, Espio, Breezie, Eggman, Antoine, Rouge and Vector were fine viewers. However Sally and Amy are the dramatic ones so you can imagine them watching sports. Honey well..Honey I guess sees the fight as a beautiful thing, while Chip just munching on his snacks. Nevertheless I'm glad Tails was the hero of this arc from what happen 2 issues ago.

I must say Fang worries me because he can literally end Sonic or anyone if he wants to without orders. Bean and Bark...I really want to see these guys do some more major damage in the series besides being comedy relief. They got power to do so without Eggman's orders.

Overall 8.5/10. Keep it up :).

For me this whole arc was best Archie story in years. Seriously, the closest competitor I can think of is SU 50 and remember that I'm Metal nut.

First thing is WONDERFUL art. So fun, so many references (have you seen Wentos in 268?) ,sooo energetic! I really hope that Diana Skelly will be a recurring artist.
My only complain would be Grounder redesign. Coconuts looks cool, Scratch I can take, but Grounder looks like he was constantly sick.

Breezie and Honey are great additions to the cast. I love scene with Amy/Honey meeting and possibility of Breezie and Metal romance is interesting to say at least. I just wonder if Breezie is a robot. She doesn't seem to be, but isn't that important part of her character in Aosth?

First issues are just great. The fights, tons of cameos, Segata Sanshiro, Bean, Espio's gambling :P

But issue 271 is... still good, but the weakest of the bunch.
Good sides is crazy Metal action, Tails redemption (very well played) and Honey moral's dilemma.

But other than that
- Cover is awesome, but over hyped me. Hooligans just escape off screen.
- Skelly made only half of the art
- Flashback was really pointless: how did Brezzy got the emerald. she found it. yay.
- I expected that fight Sonic/Knuckles won't have winner, but why it took 5 pages (I have to make topic about fight going nowhere)
- Overall we had 7 pages that could been used on something better, like
- I really hoped that Metal and Breezie will interact in any way. At least exchange glances :?

Still, that arc was awesome! :D

Well, mine finally came a couple days ago even thought it was much later than normal and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Really intrigued about Honey...

Also, now 75 is running behind for me. Weird. Hope it comes today.

About Breezie being a robot/mecha: I recently got to thinking (and I might be taking the wind out of Ian's sails with this little epiphany) - what if:

Spoiler: show
Breezie was constructed as a robot, but was then reverse-roboticised to being an organic?

If an organic being can be converted to machinery, can not a machine being be converted to organic?

This throws up all kinds of very interesting stuff - Breezie being born/created as a machine but now living as an organic. Does she want to become a robot again? Where do her loyalties/sympathies really lie (I think this arc made it clear that she cares about discarded robots - giving them a new function at her casino)? Also was she attracted to Neo Metal Sonic?

Interesting stuff indeed.

Uh, you might want to put that in spoiler tags for being a fan idea.

Done.

I wasn't sure if that little epiphany was sailing close enough to the wind to warrant a spoiler tag - but if you think it needs one - so be it.

Pretty much any fan idea with, shall we say "moving parts" should be spoilered.

Something like "I want to see Shadow fight Knuckles!" or "Big and Sally should be an item!" is one thing-- very basic concept, a million ways to go about it.

When you're involving specifics-- such as all that "interesting stuff" you mentioned-- then it becomes toxic if not spoilered, as now the writers can see it and can't really use it without being accused of ripping the ideas off.

I think I get it now.

I just thought that a lot of scripts/concepts were approved months ahead of time - I honestly had no idea that theorising about an 'active' character like Breezie could potentially be so damaging.

The writing, as I understand it, is usually six months ahead at any given time, but given any particular arc lasts about four or so months, it's probably not ahead enough for legal safety, especially in regards to recurring characters like Breezie who aren't as obligated to show up right away as a main cast member is.

Hmmmm..... okay :D. Let's see here I'll be easy for these concepts.
Spoiler: show
You know I'd like to see if Scratch, Grounder and Coconuts can become stronger bodyguards for Breezie that will make Eggman envious.

Spoiler: show
I'd also like to see Tails using Honey's signature move in the future. Of course he'll have to learn it from her whenever those two are destine to meet. To make it a little funny is that he'll have to wear her accessories during their training session. In return she can receive some good handy gadgets from him he created specifically for her out of appreciation. This can actually be treated as a Universe arc called *Becoming Stronger or Dedication*

*looks for a wishing star hoping this comes true*

Finally got a copy.

Liked that Sonic vs Knuckles was in an awesome 2-page spread. Sure there was no winner but I still felt the fight was entertaining.

I'll admit the Flashback felt a little pointless since all it told us is "Breezie got a Chaos Emerald. She isn't totally on the level" which we already knew. Still more 6-S the better IMHO.

I'm seriously thinking Ian's playing at Metal having a twinge of sentience. He hesitated when Eggman told him to leave. I don't know it seems like Ian's wanting to do something with him.

Anyway fun issue hate I had to wait so long.

The whole arc was a ton of fun and introduced a ton of characters and concepts I'm really looking forward to seeing develop in the future.

It was a nice breather before Worlds Unite and I assume Unleashed.
