2007 FCBD took place between #73 and 74 if I remember correctly so i'm pretty sure 09 will be too.
The cover looks pretty amazing though I don't remember Sonic's shoes (the one below the Sonic Riders version) lookin like that. _________________ TNT Teens Need Truth:

I can see it being more like StH #57 than a series of data files, though the latter would be nice, if not in this FCBD than somewhere down the road. |
Well since it's FCBD, I think it will be in comic format. Therefor, I think it will be in the same vein as Sonic #57. |

Wow, this looks promising, imo. I hope that there's not a line for the *ONE* semi-local store that participates in FCBD like last year. When you drive nearly an hour to get there, it's *really* disappointing to discover they only have old issues of Buffy the Vampire Slayer left in the giveaway bin. |

FCBD '07 was actually between 174 and 175.
The Sonic below the Sonic Riders version is the one from Sonic Adventure 2 (With his "SOAP" shoes.) |

H'okie-doke! I just got the green light to spill some beans on FCBD'09.
This is an out-of-continuity book. There's no story to it, just facts.
The entire thing is in a style similar to the Data Files.
It's designed to be new-reader friendly while clarifying some points for veteran readers.
I know it's a sticking point for a few of you, so you'll be happy to know Dr. Robotnik's full origin is addressed.
There will be STH#200 and post-#200 spoilers. So if you want a tiny insight to the direction of the book a few weeks/months early, you'll catch it here. |

| Sounds good to me Ian, just hope my comic store decides to be silver this year...because as most of you know comic stores have to pay for the "free comics" and make no money off of them...anyways my comic shop told me they have never gotten any new customers through FCBD, so they may not have it or just have minimum participation. |

| This is a much, much better idea than last years re-print of Sonic #1 considering the book has changed so drastically from the first issue to now. |

Its sounding more and more like this is going to be the best FCBD issue yet.
Maybe if you guys get enough positive feedback on this issue, we can get that profile book/series bible we've wanted for so long...? |

Why are so many of you being so negative about this.
1. It's FREE
2. It is what many of us have been waiting for a very long time
3. It will set in stone many iffy things
A lot of you guys need to calm down. I for one am seriously looking forward to this! |

I like this more and more! I'm definitely writing a reminder on my calendar about this so I can remember to get up extra-early to go look for it! |

Ooh! Sounds cool! I like it even more! I'm a bit surprised by your decision with telling Robotnik's origin, but it probably wouldn't be a proper data file compilation sort of thing without telling it how it happened, so I think it's a good idea. I'm curious how you'll approach it though. I also like the idea of setting some things in stone and clearing some things up. I can't wait to pick this one up! |
