Let me help you out with that necessary music. if you can make it through that entire video without getting at least a little teary... WHAT KIND OF A HEARTLESS MONSTER ARE YOU?!? D:

*ahem* Okay, think manly thoughts, Scruffy. So, many of you will probably recognise this comic as being based on one of the most well known episodes of the first series of Pokemon: Pikachu's Goodbye, where Ash decides to leave Pikachu with a wild herd of its own kind. Moron.

...what do you mean, you think there's something wrong with the Pikachu translating in this comic? That's how they say no!

This one's based on The March of the Exeggutor Squad, where Ash's Charmander evolves and suddenly becomes a jerk. Perhaps Sonic will now be glad that he didn't catch him? I'm not really satisfied with the fire effects I did, but unfortunately I did this on too short a notice to ask anyone for help.

This one's based on The Song of Jigglypuff, and features the long-awaited return of the character that no-one demanded... Donkey Kong! Fans of the original series will remember that DK would randomly show up and sing something in various comics. He's back with a vengeance today, and ready to take on the competition!

Happy Monday, folks! Here, have a free comic. You earned it!



Today's comic combines two episodes of the Pokemon anime with my own spin on them:

Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon, where Ash falls into a cave and gets carried away by an Aerodactyl, prompting Charmeleon to evolve. Since Shadow had Charmeleon and had early in the comic been shown to have an Aerodactyl, it only made sense to have him more personally involved here. This episode is also notable because Ash finds a mysterious egg, which leads us to...

Who Gets to Keep Togepi?, where the egg hatches into Togepi, and a four person tournament is held between Ash, Misty, Brock and Meowth to decide who gets to keep it. Ash ultimately wins, but Togepi chooses Misty anyway. I made things a lot simpler in my version, as you can see!

Don't forget that Scruffy and his Dusknoir have already appeared in the comic. Granted, no-one remembers that specific moment any more, but it probably did all sorts of wacky stuff with their brains.



The alternative that he could have said was, "Thank Scruffy," and I thought that was a little too self-serving.

This one's based on the episode Bulbasaur's Mysterious Garden, where Bulbasaur rebels against authority by refusing to evolve. Since Sonic doesn't get Charizard, I figured he needed a different evolved Pokemon powerhouse!

As well as the usual character profile update today, I noticed that a couple of the characters had profiles that had been out of date for quite awhile - Metal and Nack still had their first Pokemons' original evolutions, and Uncle Chuck had the original robotic character sprites I made ten years ago. So I've gone ahead and updated those. Hooray!

I'm glad to see that still works. I was trying to think of a good idea for the introduction of Lickitung, and then the idea of the Yogi/Booboo came to me. And then I thought... "Wait, haven't I done this before?" And I did - ten years ago, in the original comic, I made the exact same joke.

I'm on holiday at the moment, and keeping busy relaxing and enjoying myself. So this week's SPA is going to be delayed. I should have time to finish and post it on Tuesday hopefully, but no promises.

Thanks again for your patience while I was busy feeding elephants and cuddling koalas yesterday! Today's comic is part two of the Lickitung intro saga! In the episode Princess vs. Princess, Misty and Jessie entered the Princess Day Pokemon Tournament to win an exclusive set of Pokemon dolls. The battle went pretty much the same way as described here, with it all coming down to a battle between Lickitung and Psyduck. Lickitung's tongue didn't paralyse Psyduck like the others, but it did give him a headache, allowing him to defeat Lickitung by using confusion.

As you can see, I went in a different, ickier direction.

Oh, and look who's back!

We're getting close to the next gym now... but before we get there, let us take a moment to remember Todd of the Pokemon anime. Todd was a Pokemon photographer who was hired by Team Rocket to abduct Pikachu. However due to a failure to communicate, Todd thought he was supposed to take Pikachu...'s picture. After that he stayed with Ash and friends for a few episodes before leaving and making a brief return in Johto. I figured I'd go with a different photographer for my version though.

So, the subplot with Eggman and his mutating fangirls has almost run its course. I wonder if anyone's figured out where I'm going with it yet?

Meet the alternate Team Robot - Team Orbot! Filling the role of Butch and Cassidy, we have Eggman's newest lackeys, Orbot and Cubot. They first appeared in the episode, "The Breeding Centre Secret."

Also appearing for the first time in this episode was James' Victreebel, which seemed to have just come out of nowhere. It was revealed several series later that he caught it and took it to the Breeding Centre just prior to this episode, but fans were in the dark for a very long time.
